Start by applying Lumiere de Vie Pore Minimizing Serum, pat into the skin and give it a few seconds to dry.

Apply Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation in “Tender Beige” with a sponge or brush.

Apply “Socialite” Motives for La La Mineral Blush and buff out with Photo Finish Powder in “Neutral” for a seamless finish.

Use the Essential Brow Kit to fill and define brows.  Clean up the edges with either Motives Creme Concealer in “Light” or Longwear Liquid Concealer.

Apply any combination of eye shadows from the Demure Palette.

Apply Waterproof Eye Pencil in “Black Magic” on the upper lash line and lower lash line (half way in).

Apply Translucent Loose Powder in “Light” for a soft finish.

Lightly mist 10 Years Younger Setting Spray to set entire look and let dry.

Curl lashes, then apply Lustrafy High Definition Mascara in “Onyx”.  Apply second coat if needed (let first coat dry 30 seconds first).

Apply “Dragon Fruit” All Day Liquid Matte to complete the look.

Follow these steps or create a whole new look.  Have fun!

Custom Makeup Palette- Motives

motives-custom-palette-2-blushes-and-4-eye-shadows-paletteMotives Cosmetics offers a variety of color palettes which are great space-savers for your vanity or for travel.  Personally, I am so intrigued by all the palettes Motives has to offer that I sometimes become overwhelmed.  Which one should I choose?  Then I saw it…Ah-ha…an empty palette to customize my look.   I chose two awesome shades of pinky blush, one matte and one shimmer and four shades of eyeshadow.  Two of the shadows were variations of brown for contouring, black to smudge my eyeliner for a smokey look and purple for a pop of color.  They are highly pigmented so watch out!  What you see if what you get…beautiful, rich color that lasts all day.

Instead of fumbling through several different compacts to find the perfect shade, make it easy on yourself and create your own.  When you desire a different look, introduce new colors to your palette.

*Hint-Save the original containers from your blush and eye shadows.  When you want to remove certain colors from your palette, you’ll have a place to put them.  That way, you won’t lose or damage your makeup.
